Pelicans Nest

The Pelican’s Nest is situated on the Trent-Severn Waterway, Lock 27 – Youngs Point a National Historic Site of Canada.  There is often lots’ going on in this area.  An appealing park area and good fishing are found at the locks. One of the favourite activities is just sitting on the deck and watching the numerous yachts and boats pass by.  A new rental available in 2015 this bright, clean, freshly decorated cottage has lots to offer

A short walk along the locks will bring you to the Lock Side Trading Company where you can shop for clothing and gifts or just sit back and enjoy a coffee, latte, some sweet treats or ice cream.  A short walk up the road will bring you to the Youngs Point general store and small bakery.  There are three local restaurants everything from breakfast to fine dining, all within walking distance.

INTERIOR DESCRIPTION

The Pelicans Nest is quaint and cute.  It has an open concept –sitting area, kitchen and eating area.

• Cottage Water: Not Potable. There is a water cooler/dispenser for jugs of drinking water

EXTERIOR DESCRIPTION

• The water side of the cottage has a raised deck with BBQ and Bistro set. There is a fire pit located at the water side of the cottage with 4 Adirondack Chairs.

• 16ft by 6ft Deck
• The cottage area is very active with lots of Yachts and boats coming and going through the locks. It is best suited for individuals who like to either sit back and relax or engage in the activity of conversation.
