Algonquin Kiosk Cottage

The setting of our cottage is the Amable du Fond River, just outside the northern gateway to Algonquin Park at Kiosk, providing you with the opportunity to enjoy nature’s allure through quiet riverfront tranquility, listening to the roar of the falls at Gravelle Chute, watching the mist rise silently among the majestic pines.

Nature has carved a natural swimming pool into the rock next to the logging chute from the bygone logging era, providing wonderful spots for relaxing massages under the waterfalls.  Enjoy the flora and fauna, the roaring falls in the spring, the awesome fall colours on your walks in the woods.

The 3 bedroom cottage, newly renovated, is just 4 hours from Ottawa, 5 hours from Toronto.  It is an ideal place to begin or end your trip to Algonquin Park, to use as a home base for young families to introduce your children to short trips into the Park.

Bring your compass or GPS for exploring the Tolkenesque bog, the mountain streams or for hiking to the unnamed wilderness lake.  Jog or bicycle the old logging trail, the end of which we haven’t discovered  yet.  Explore the overgrown loggers’ camp.  Lake trout and bass loiter just inside the Park.  Grandfather kindly offers free canoe lessons.
