This lovely 3 bedroom cottage with southern exposure on stunning and expansive Kennisis Lake in the Haliburton Highlands is situated just steps from the shore and is nestled in a sheltered bay behind an uninhabited island, promising calm waters on a crystal clear lake we call the gem at the heart of cottage country.

Design and décor show love and care — from the vaulted pine ceilings in the Great Room down to the country quilts on the beds — lending this retreat its warmth, charm and appeal. When you turn onto this quiet laneway that serves only enroute cottages, and pull into the driveway, you’ll know you have truly left the bustling city behind. Cleary Cottage has all the amenities including a wood burning airtight fireplace, an outdoor fire pit, large wrap-around deck (gated enclosure with youngsters in mind), propane BBQ, patio furniture, dishwasher, microwave, washer & dryer, new TV and DVD player, large floating dock with all day sun — electric fans for those hot summer nights and electric furnace for those brisk autumn evenings.

Kennisis Lake is 3 hours NE of Toronto and just minutes from the Haliburton Forest and Wildlife Reserve with its world-renowned Wolf Centre, and miles of biking and hiking trails. There is a store and marina on the lake for last minute supplies and all your boating needs.

THE WATERFRONT

Southern exposure. Panoramic south, east and westerly views with full sun frontage and great sunsets. Large floating dock with deep water swimming. A two foot shallow entry from shore. Canoe and rowboat also available. Kids love to paddle to the sand beach at the island!
