PROFILE
If lakeside seclusion is what you’re after, Lynne’s Hideaway, nestled on 6 private, forested acres on a pristine, motor-less lake in the Haliburton Highlands, is the perfect retreat from the hectic pace of the city. The Hideaway is a newer, year-round, 3 bedroom cedar-side cottage with a beautiful pine interior, 12 foot vaulted ceilings and a wood-burning stone fireplace in the Great Room.
A bright, fresh and airy open-concept with lots of windows overlooking the lake, no immediate neighbours and just steps from the water — makes this is a truly idyllic setting. The kitchen boasts pine cupboards, a Spanish ceramic backsplash and all the amenities. A finished basement and rec room with an entertainment centre for the kids, an ensuite balcony and 4 piece bath with Jacuzzi for mom, and dad, if you like bass, bring your fishing gear.
This country haven is laid out for comfort and family fun — lots of cozy couches, satellite TV, DVD player and internet access. Although well-treed, there’s plenty of open space for outside lounging and play. The Hideaway provides a lakeside fire pit, 2 picnic tables, a canoe and peddleboat, floating dock and swim raft.
It was a pleasure to rent Lynne’s Hideaway. The cottage and the land are spectacular! Lynne and Kennisis Cottage Rentals were both absolute pleasures to rent with.

A south-facing frontage guarantees all-day sun on the deck with a propane BBQ and patio tables and chairs for outdoor dining. And on those blistering summer nights, enjoy the lake breezes and relax on the Muskoka furniture in the screened-in porch.

With abundant wildlife and tranquil shores, we’re in the heart of the wilderness, but only 20 minutes from shopping, restaurants and golf courses.
