Situated a mere 50 feet from the water on a level lot with only a gentle slope to the shore, our Sandy Cove Cottage is ideal for toddlers and seniors.

Follow a walking path fringed with cedars to an awesome sand beach in a quiet cove on prestigious Kennisis Lake in the Haliburton Highlands, Ontario’s premier cottage country. The open concept living and dining area boasts a 12 foot pine ceiling and pine floors throughout; offers plenty of kitchenware, satellite TV/DVD, a hammered oak dining table and a comfy couch that overlooks an ample deck and the crystal clear waters of Kennisis.

Sand bottom, shallow entry all year, awesome beach by mid-summer. Easy wading, or if you prefer — deep water swimming off dock. The cottage comes with a canoe and paddleboat, a propane BBQ, indoor airtight fireplace (wood provided), 3 double beds, and most importantly, southern exposure which ensures all day sun.

Breathtaking view from the dock. Only minutes from the Haliburton Forest and Wildlife Reserve with its 80,000 acres of groomed trails for hiking and biking; the world famous Wolf Centre, and numerous woodland activities — if you ever decide you leave the lake! Only 3 hours NE of Toronto and 35 minutes from town — a great spot to leave your cares and the chaos behind, but not too far from civilization should you a need a loaf of bread or a bottle of wine.

In fact, the Kennisis Lake Marina is stocked for most of your last minute supplies and watercraft needs and the Cookhouse is a just down the road and around a few bends.
