Sunset Beach on Kennisis Lake

Situated on a premier lake in the Haliburton Highlands at the heart of Ontario’s vacation destination, our Sunset Beach cottage is more than a summer haven, it’s an all season getaway with something for everyone, an ideal spot for family fun and exploration, a place to build lasting memories. A nicely treed lot that gently slopes to the lake and a terrific sand beach. Enjoy spectacular sunsets over the bay from the child and senior-friendly sand beach; and soak in the fresh north country air and that incomparable Kennisis Lake vista. The cottage comes with a swim raft, watercraft (canoe and row boat), outdoor fire pit, large lake front deck, propane BBQ, patio and lawn furniture. Adult PFDs, and full kitchen with all the amenities. A gorgeous piece of lakefront property and the deep, clear waters of Kennisis are ideal for swimming, boating, fishing and water sports.

Recently renovated, our year round lakeside retreat is a spacious 1800 sq ft, with 4 bedrooms that comfortably sleep 8, and 3 bathrooms. Designed for privacy with bedrooms on either side of the main living area, the cottage features cathedral ceilings, and many large windows, assuring a fresh, bright interior. The dining area opens through garden doors onto a large cedar deck overlooking the lake.

Family board games, reading, watching DVDs and surfing the Net can be enjoyed in the large family room. Beautiful bamboo hardwood flooring. Knotty pine walls in the Great Room. For cool evenings, central-forced air heating keeps the cottage cozy. An airtight stove, wood provided. Washer and dryer in the laundry room. A nice pantry for extra storage. Walk-in closet in the master bedroom. Drinking water comes from a deep-drilled well and is filtered, potable and pure-tasting.

What a fabulous spot! My family thoroughly enjoyed our time at Sunset Beach. The house was spotless, well equipped and nicely laid out. There was a tremendous view from both the deck and the inside of the home. Lake Kennisis is the best lake in the area- clean, clear and ideal for swimming. I would highly recommend it.
