This newly renovated, 2 bedroom pine abode sits on the sunny south shore of prestigious Kennisis Lake — jewel of the Haliburton Highlands with its 14 miles of pristine, island-studded waters.

Nestled in the trees and surrounded by water on three sides, this private lakefront cottage opens its doors to a level frontage featuring a lovely sand beach that shows well by mid-summer. Water’s Edge boasts a bright and airy interior and epitomizes all that lends cottaging in the Ontario Lakelands its enduring magic — a stunning, natural setting in a more than welcoming country haven designed for comfort and relaxation.

Re-modelled to maintain that woodsy feeling, the cottage has 9 foot pine ceilings, pine cove siding in the kitchen and living room, colour-washed pine board and batten walls in the bedrooms, airtight fireplace with natural stonework in the living room and comes equipped with satellite TV, assorted watercraft, a stationary and floating dock, deck furniture, firepit, propane BBQ, hammock, even a second (outdoor) shower for those blistering summer days. All day sun on the dock with a NW view of Big Kennisis promises breathtaking sunsets! Situated on a quiet lane way makes for many peaceful strolls.

South of Algonquin Park and just 3 hrs. north of Toronto, Waters Edge is just minutes from the 65,000 acre Haliburton Forest and Wildlife Reserve with its groomed trails for mountain biking and hiking, ‘A Walk in the Clouds’ canopy tour and world-famous Wolf Observatory. Although deep in the woods, Kennisis Lake is only 25 minutes from shopping, golf courses and whitewater kayaking and has a marina and small store for all your last minute supplies and watercraft needs.

Great place, lovely lake. Kids: 2 sixteen year old girls, loved the water. (They aren’t weedy water types) so were happy to spend a lot of time in the lake.
