Pure cottage country charm. At the heart of vacation country, this rustic, woodsy retreat is a private lakefront cottage nestled among towering hemlocks on prestigious Kennisis Lake. Laid out for comfort and relaxation — from the charming pine finished interior and comfy couches to the spacious, sun-filled deck — this lovely 3 bedroom abode comfortably sleeps 6.

Hardwood and laminate flooring throughout with a pine cathedral ceiling; an open concept living area with lots of windows which open onto a sunny deck with a stunning view of this vast, island-studded lake. Nicely treed between cottages to ensure privacy. Wonderful terraced deckwork with good steps down to lake and ‘look out’ landings which lead to a large stationary and floating dock with 2 canoes and a wind surfer for your enjoyment.

There is also a sauna house and newly renovated 3 piece bath with an oversize shower room. Cottage comes with a big stainless steel BBQ, flat screen TV/DVD, woodstove (wood provided). Overhead fans in every room, an antique dining table, microwave and lots of deck and patio furniture.

All this and just and just minutes away the marina for last minute supplies and the nearby 80,000 acre Haliburton Forest and Wildlife Reserve with its world-famous Wolf Observatory, visitor tours and groomed trails for hiking and biking. With abundant wildlife and tranquil shores, we’re in the heart of the wilderness, but only 20 minutes from shopping, restaurants and golf courses.

THE WATERFRONT

Large dock with deep water swimming. 2 canoes and a windsurfer. Good sun exposure on deck and dock. Sturdy steps down to lake.

THE EXTRAS

A sauna house. Airtight wood stove. Wood stored inside and in shed. TV / DVD, large propane BBQ, baseboard heat, water cooler, microwave. Overhead fans throughout.
